Costuming the Gods
Handloom silk, temple jewellery, and a year at the loom.
Costume is character. Each garment in Aaranyaka is built from handwoven silk and adorned with replicas of temple ornament, aged to look as if they had survived the forest themselves.
We worked with weavers across three states to source fabric that would catch the light the way our lighting designer imagined.
